5 Things To Do In Butler County, Ohio With Kids

1. EnterTRAINment Junction

EnterTRAINment Junction is a fun place for kids to explore in Butler County. It’s home to a 25,000 square foot train display with over 2 miles of track — the largest in the world! Plus there’s an indoor playground and Thomas The Tank Engine themed play area for the little ones.

We also loved the A-Maze-N Funhouse. This funhouse featuring different themed rooms had us all entertained (adults included).

2. Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park

Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park is dedicated to bringing art and nature together. This sculpture park covers over 300 acres and is home to over 80 outdoor sculptures. You’ll also find the Ancient Sculpture museum that houses Greek, Roman, Etruscan, Syrian and Egyptian sculptures that date back to 1550 B.C.!!!

You can roam the park on foot, but I would suggest renting a golf cart (the kids will love this!!) It’s fun to cruise around the park on a golf cart — it’s a great way to help get your kids interested in art.

3. The Cone

If you’re traveling with kids (ok, even if you aren’t with kids) you’ll want to stop for ice cream at some point, right?! The Cone is a fun spot and has even been voted “Cincinnati’s best soft serve”. There’s a small area with ride-on toys that will help entertain little ones too.

4. Butler County Donut Trail

One of the things that the area is best known for is the Butler County Donut Trail! The trail features 12 donut shops throughout Butler County. Grab a map and a passport and eat your way through all the donuts! When you’ve completed the trail you’ll be rewarded by the Butler County Visitors Bureau!

5. Land of Illusion Adventure Park

Land of Illusion is known for their Halloween themed attractions. But they also have Christmas attractions and Aqua Adventures which is a water park area that features a giant inflatable obstacle course in a man made pond.

They invited me out to experience Aqua Adventures this summer for myself. Unfortunately the weather was terrible the day we went so the park was cold and deserted — thankfully my husband took one for the team and got in the freezing cold water with my daughter.  This place definitely seemed more geared towards older kids and teenagers, so I would probably wait to visit if you have really little ones. My 5 year old enjoyed it, but couldn’t really do anything on her own.
