IHG PointBreaks is a recurring IHG promotion that reduces the price of award nights on a select list of hotels to 5,000 points per night! This is a great deal as sometimes these rooms can normally cost 20,000-30,000 points per night! IHG will be releasing the new list of hotels today around noon EST. These hotels will be available to book starting Monday, January 30, 2017 for stays between January 30, 2017 – April 30, 2017. These tend to sell out quickly so do some planning this weekend and be ready to book on Monday for the best availability.

IHG says there will be over 100 hotels on the list including the following:

Intercontinental Real Santo Domingo — InterContinental Real Santo Domingo will be available to book for 5,000 points per night with PointBreaks!

Don’t Have Enough Points?

You can purchase points directly from IHG. The cost per point goes down slightly with the more points you buy:

5,000 points costs $67.50
10,000 points cost $135
15,000 points costs $187.50

While I normally don’t advise buying points for fun, when you have a specific redemption in mind, sometimes it makes sense. $187.50 for 3 nights at a hotel is a pretty good deal, considering some of the locations on the PointsBreak list!
